Cue Wall
On a convenient spot on our gymnasium wall I have a place where the students and I can review all the cues that we discuss and practice in PE class. I call this the CUE WALL. I have decorated this wall with cutouts of balls, tennis shoes, rackets, etc. Below CUE WALL sign (I used a hot glue gun to make this permanent), I put the skill theme we are working on (e.g., volleying, throwing & catching, kicking, etc.) Beneath that I have created flip charts sheets printed with cues for the theme. This allows me to go through the cues with the class in a central spot and it is permanent. With each new theme change theme name and cues. I laminate mine for future use and to protect during use. The CUE WALL serves as a nice station to do closure assessments, begin class, and it is a nice place to go to remind students of the cues you are working on during the day.
