Web Quizzes
As a way of integrating technology into the physical education curriculum, high school physical education teacher Terry Fargen, has posted all of the ninth grade unit quizzes on the department home page. In order for students to take the unit quizzes, they simply go to the department home page and click on the "PE Web Quizzes" icon. Completed quizzes are sent back electronically to Terry Fargen. Since many of the students had never taken a quiz "on line" before, all of the students were taken through a demonstration quiz at the start of the year. This was done at the school's computer lab. Since then, however, students take quizzes at home or at the school's computer lab. The introduction of web quizzes at La Follette High School has been quite successful. In addition to experiencing a wonderful integration of technology with physical education, the web quizzes provide students with additional class time that can be spent on additional content or physical activity. The physical education web quizzes may be viewed by clicking on the link to the La Follette High School Physical Education Home Page.
