PE Video Slide Show
During various class activities and warm-ups capture students "in action" using the camera. Choose your favorite slide to show from the camera and set up a slide show in the software program Claris Works. I chose to capture warm-ups, lessons, and fitness testing on camera for my first slide show. You can project this onto the screen and put your favorite song in the CD drive and choreograph to you favorite music, using VCR cable tape onto a video cassette and you have it forever! Be sure to tape it over a couple of times so that you don't have to keep rewinding. At the beginning of each class I would rewind and hit play when my new class came. Classes loved each slide show and teachers would have their class come sit in the cubby hall across from the gym and eat snacks and watch. If possible, keep it in a visible place. Parents enjoyed it as well as it captured and showed them what Physical Education is really all about!
