Rationale/Purpose of Event: PE Mail is a letter sent to children via email that contains a variety of information pertaining to physical education, physical activity, and health.

Suggested Grade Level: K-12

Materials Needed: Computer with email capability.

PE Mail for Students and Parents

Physical education teacher, Rudy Benton, started PE Mail for students at McKinley elementary school in Burlingame, California. Today, this electronically based newsletter, written specifically for elementary aged school children, is received by students in Philadelphia, Colorado, Texas, and throughout the state of California.

The newsletter contains a variety of information pertaining to physical education, health and physical activity. Students who receive PE Mail also have the opportunity to contribute to the newsletter.

To subscribe to PE Mail, students or interested adults, should send an email to Rudy Benton at rudybenton@comcast.net. When subscribing to PE Mail students should send their full names, grade, age, school, city where school is located, and birthday.
