Living with Asthma

* Reduce stress when possible.

* Stay inside as much as possible when pollution levels or pollen counts are high.

* Cold air causes the airways to tighten up and can precipitate an attack.

* Treat yourself to a relaxing hot bath to relieve asthma symptoms and alleviate stress.

* Join a health club, YMCA, or YWCA, or develop an indoor exercise routine so that you can keep up with your workouts despite the weather.

* Consider joining a support group, such as the American Lung Association.

* Take a vacation from allergic asthma.
