How to Safely Use Home Medical Tests

* Check the expiration date; discard a test that has expired.

* Study the package insert and read ALL directions.

* Comply with any precautions; you may be instructed to fast or avoid certain foods or activities before the test.

* Follow instructions in order; donāt skip any steps or do them in the wrong order.

* Time the test precisely.

*Keep a careful record of your results.

* Properly discard use test materials.

* Consult your doctor if you have any questions about the results or appropriate treatment.
