Personal Safety

* Encourage your children not to bully or antagonize their peers.

* Tell them to take threats from other students seriously and to tell you, a teacher or school administrator about them.

* Talk with your school officials about their weapons policies, intervention plans and counseling services.

* Work with your school administration and PTA to find ways to reduce the risk of violence.
