Dealing with Depression

* Avoid being alone.ÊGo to a movie, invite a friend to dinner, or join in other activities.

* Exercise! Swimming, walking, biking, and similar kinds of exercise can have powerful mood-lifting effects.

* Eat healthy, well-balanced meals.Ê

* Avoid alcohol and reduce consumption of caffeine.

* Rest, but no more than 10 hours of sleep per night.

* Read a self-help book.ÊStudies show they can can be helpful.
