Be appreciative of the things your friends do for you and express your gratitude to them.
Be willing to share your personal thoughts and ideas with them. By confiding in them you demonstrate the level of your trust.
Accept your friends for who they are both their strengths and their weaknesses. All of us are going to make mistakes.
Be willing to share material things. True friends are often considered "family".
Spend time together. Quality friendships take time and effort to develop.
