Before putting up your Christmas lights, check them for fray wires, burned out bulbs, missing bulbs, etc.
If you are going to use a ladder to put up lights, make sure the ladder is stable and not missing any rungs.
Donāt extend beyond your ability. If you are unable to do something, get someone else to help you.
Donāt overload your lights. Donāt connect more strings of lights together than what is recommended by the manufacture.
Give yourself plenty of time to get the job done.
Before you take down the lights, check to see all the bulbs are working. This will allow a smoother transition next year.
When you take down the lights and other decorations, label each so that it is easier to put up the next time.
