Protecting Home While Away

* Move expensive electronic equipment out of sight and away from windows.

* Ask a trusted friend to inspect your house regularly and to turn on outside lights at night.

* Ask this friend to pick up any mail or newspaper delivery.

* Keep an inside light on so it looks like someone is home at night.

* Don't broadcast your trip to everyone no matter how delighted you are to be going on vacation.

* Never leave spare keys under doormats or in flower pots.

* Leave blinds and curtains in normal position.
