Kite Flying Safety Tips

*Fly kites in wide open fields or spaces that are away from power lines.

*Keep Mylar (metallic looking material) kites or helium balloons away from power lines as Mylar is a good conductor of electricity and this may endanger you or cause power outages.

*If your kite becomes entangled in a power line, DO NOT pull on the string or try to retrieve yourself. Call the local power company or police.
