Walking on the Street

*Use sidewalks at all times if you can.

*If there are no sidewalks to walk on make sure to keep to the left and walk FACING the traffic.

*When going to cross the street do so only at the corners, not in the middle of the block.

*Before crossing look and listen for traffic from both sides the cross when there is no traffic coming. Continue to look for oncoming traffic while you cross as well.

*Use sidewalks at all times if you can. Best to cross the street with other people if you can. Drivers can see large groups easier than one person.

*Do not walk on the streets in the dark.
