Make Soups Even Better For You

* Buy broth-based soups, such as chicken noodle or vegatable. They are usually lower in fat than other soups.

* Choose soups with 3 grams or less of fat per serving.

* Avoid cream-based soups unless they're low in fat.

* Keep sodium to 500 mg. or less per serving.

* Add skim milk instead of whole milk to canned soups.

* Choose soups made with beans, lentils or peas to increase your fiber intake.
