Tips for Shoveling Snow Properly

* Use a good shovel (offset handled ones may be helpful)

* Wear layered clothing while shoveling

* Take breaks and drink fluids--don't try to be a superperson and do it all at once

* Bend your legs to pick up and place the snow as opposed to your back

* Take small amounts of snow on each shovel full

* Maintain a healthy heart through exercise and diet so you can shovel snow more easily

* Give yourself plenty of time to complete the job
