Exercise During Pregnancy

* Regular exercise (at least 3 times per week) is recommended over periodic exercise

* Exercise intensity should be mild to moderate (It is recommended tht perceived exertion be used, rather than heart beat)

* After first trimester, avoid exercise in the supine position (laying on the back)

* While exercising, should drink plenty of water

* Avoid exercising in heat and humidity

* Avoid any activity or exercise that has the potential for even mild abdominal trauma
