Household Poisoning Prevention

* Store medications and vitamins in a locked container

* Remind relatives, baby sitters, and visitors to keep medications in childproof containers and out of sight

* Keep housecleaning supplies (bleach, ammonia, drain cleaners) out of reach or in a locked cabinet

* Keep houseplants out of reach, many are poisonous

* Keep personal-care products (antiseptics, nail polish, hair cleaner) out of reach

* Flush old medications down the toilet-don't throw in trash
