Remind relatives, baby sitters, and visitors to keep medications in childproof containers and out of sight
Keep housecleaning supplies (bleach, ammonia, drain cleaners) out of reach or in a locked cabinet
Keep houseplants out of reach, many are poisonous
Keep personal-care products (antiseptics, nail polish, hair cleaner) out of reach
Flush old medications down the toilet-don't throw in trash
