This site has an exceptionally focused breakdown of the tactics and strategy used in doubles play for tennis. Some topics include re-positioning, eye work, footwork and setting up formations. The main message: stay out of your partner's way and in your opponent's way. There is also a question and answer forum with Kathy Krajco, a tennis coach since she was 18, and the Web site's producer. The site is broken down in an outline format with endless subcategories, so Krajco's messages are easy to follow.
Tennis One provides a lesson each week as well as stategy of different
aspects of the game. This site also has a rule of the week which can be
incorporated into lesson plans. The Library section of this site covers
the 4 dimensions of the game: Strokes and Mechanics, Strategy, Mental
Toughness, and Fun.
US Professional Tennis Association site has an excellent Little Tennis
Section which is focused on drill and tips for introducing tennis to the
elmentary age child.
Tennis Magazine Online is an excellent site which give a tip of the
week as well as having a section "Ask Alex" where questions are answered by
a pro that an instructor may encounter in their teaching skills of the
sport.
Tennis Server Home Page contains Rules of the Game which have been updated to conform to USTA's 1995 rules. This site also has a very interesting section on the Code of Tennis. A nice addition to include in your lesson plans. This site also provides some very good equipment tips.
