Orbiter.com (Lap Counting Systems)

For your “Magic Mile” and running program, Orbiter has introduced, and automated lap counting system for your school program. Also, available for daily rental from Orbiter by your PTA’s for fund many types of raisers. It may be used for running, walking, inline sake or to encourage biking. Orbiter was designed to be so easy to use that anyone can operate it. It takes just 3 minutes to set up, and does not need a live computer connection. Just role the Orbiter out on the play ground and turn “on” to start. The system was designed for both very small and very large schools. As many as 15 PE teachers with classes may share the Orbiter on the playground at one time.

The Orbiter lap counting system is the ideal P.E. teacher's aid. We can customize software, to connect with preexisting or new programs, and to have virtual races from say, "Boston to Atlanta" or "Venice to Rome". As the student goes around a track their distance will be mapped on a web based program that charts students' progress throughout the term.

The system utilizes radio frequency identification (RFID) frequency to transmit information from the Orbiter to a user supplied laptop or PC that is within 300 feet. Easy to use software is provided. This is the same system as will be used by ING “Run For Something Better” Grant program culminating events. Orbiter has 50% matching grants available for purchase of Orbiters.
