Dear Abby Letter: Always Chosen Last |
|
Recently, a 10 year old submitted a letter to Dear Abby that described his dislike for physical education. His main complaint was that he was always chosen last when it came to choosing up sides for the games that he was playing in physical education. He writes:
P.E. is my least favorite class in school, not because I don’t like sports—I enjoy them. But it is so humiliating always being chosen last. I dread going to school on days when I know we will have P.E.
He goes on to say that he wishes that PE Teachers would have a better system for forming teams:
Why can’t physical education teachers use a different system? P.E. teachers must have never had to experience what I have each day in P.E. I will go into the class again tomorrow to be chosen last.
He signed his name as "ALWAYS CHOSEN LAST" from Scottsdale, AZ
Abby went on to respond that if she would have her way she "would outlaw that system of choosing up sides, because it is very wrong." She went on to tell the young man that she experienced the same thing in her PE class.
