Description of Parents Night
Diane Cramer, Abu Dhabi, UAE (Middle East)

The 2001 PE Central Challenge Evening at ACS Abu Dhabi was on January 14. It was very successful. I believe only 4 students and their parents missed the evening. The kids worked so hard with their parents. It was so great for them to have two hours of undivided attention from their parents. Their skill levels really improved!
Besides parents and students I had others in attendance. The superintendent came and had a great time helping the kidswith events. The elementary principal also attended and took some pictures for our web site. The yearbook photographer was also on hand to record the evening. I also had two high school National Honor Society Students there, they helped witness events and also demonstrated thechallenges as I explained them to the parents.
I have had so many parents come and thank me for the evening some even wrote thank you notes. A few of them ask if I could do the same with all the grade levels. And the principal and superintendent have both asked me to make this an annual event.
