Greetings!
Well, it was the first day of spring 2 days ago and we have had two days of snow and freezing rain. We are ready for the real spring to show up! Hope you are doing great and the weather is better where you are living. Other than the snow we have had a really good week because we got to call all of the big prize drawing winners for the just completed USTA Tennis in Schools Survey. It is always fun to call folks with good news. We are excited for Alissa Aurigemma ($100.00 prize winner, Putnam Valley, NY), Joan Lesman ($500.00, Aberdeen, WA), Janice Schlegel ($250.00, Concord, MA), and Jeff Hoffman ($250.00, St. Paul, MN). Don't worry! Just because you may not have been a winner for this survey drawing we just posted another survey from our friends at S&S Worldwide. In fact everyone who completes the entire survey will get a discount coupon toward their next purchase and the grand prize drawing winner will get a $1000.00 gift certificate good toward their next purchase from S&S Worldwide. Our thanks to both the USTA and S&S Worldwide for providing such great prizes! Thanks for everyone who has taken 10 minutes out of their day to complete both surveys. All of us really appreciate getting your candid opinions to the questions asked.

5. PE Central Challenge Update
We are in the midst of finishing up the 8th year of the PE Central Challenge, our popular skills challenge for 4th and 5th graders. We have an outstanding year with great things being reported from the teachers who registered and the students who participated. One of the great things that has emerged out of the PE Central Challenge over the years is a PE Central Challenge Parents night where parents are invited to the school in the evening to perform the challenge tasks with their sons and/or daughters. I was priveledged to attend one of these events last month and it was terrific. Over 100 people showed up and they all had a blast. To see pictures of a Challenge Parents night in La Paz, Bolivia go here. Testimonial About Challenge Parents Night in Bolivia: "Although I only got a chance to participate a little, I just want to say "thanks" for a truly wonderful event. Thanks also for keeping an eye out on my son, who had the time of his life! What a great opportunity for him to realize that he CAN do anything if he really tries. He couldn't stop talking about what a great time he had, and most importantly, how great he felt about what he was able to accomplish. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. A proud parent!" We will be offering the PE Central Challenge again next year so we invite you to register. Registration will be available on or about Oct. 1, 2006. The cost to register is $15.00. This will get you 30 award pins and the chance to sign up first for the following year challenge. Plus additional pins are only .85 ea. If you prefer to just do the challenge for free you can award the certificates we have on the Challenge web site. The award pins are $1.00 each for non-registered participants in the Challenge. Thanks again to everyone who has participated in the PE Central Challenge. It is a terrific program promoting practice of motor skills and cooperation and teamwork among all participants.
