Activity: Governors Frog Jump
Equipment: 12-8 1/2" red playground balls (launcher), 12 bean bags (frogs).
Formation: first, students are scattered; later students will be in a line
The object is to launch the frog and see who can launch their frogs the farthest. Each person will have a ball and a bean bag. Place the bean bag on the ball and then bounce the ball. Watch the bean bag (frog) jump. Each person will practice for awhile.
After a practice, have all the students line up on a line. On leaders signal, students will launch their frog. Wherever the frog lands will be the place for the students to launch the next time. Keep working toward finish line. You could have a one launch contest and see which frog will go the farthest.
