Activity: Bocce

Equipment: bocce ball set, 8 sort-of-flat 6" red balls, and an orange ball, another small ball.

Formation: 2 groups of students:

• one group of 4 older students with bocce ball
• one group of 4 students with 4 red balls and an orange ball
• one group of 4 students with 4 red balls and a small ball

One person tosses out the small ball which will be the target ball. Players take turns rolling their ball toward the target ball. The ball that is the closest to the target ball-after all the players have rolled their ball will score a point and that person will toss out the target ball for the next round. Game is 21 points.
