Forwards iceskating/Forward Swizzle

Suggested Grade Level: 6-8

Make a letter 'C' with each foot as you push your legs from front to back.(Practice forward swizzles)

Snap your back foot (the one you are using to propel) hard down to the ice to maintain balance and to create more speed.

For the forward swizzle, start with feet pigeon-toed and make the letter 'C' as you bring each leg back.

Make sure to fully extend your back leg, pretend to be flipping on a light switch with your foot, but the only way you can reach it is by fully extending.

Knees over toes at all times to maintain balance.
