Jumping & Landing Cues

PE Central

Single, Individual Rope Jumping

Suggested Grade Level: K-5

Keep elbows close to body while turning rope with your wrist

Make small jumps (just big enough to clear the rope)

Land on balls of feet

Bend knees slightly

Start your jump as soon as you see the rope come over your head

To jump for a long time, double bounce and turn the rope at a slow, but steady pace
