Name of Activity: Handstand Assessment

Purpose of Activity: To assess the students ability to do a handstand.

Suggested Grade Level: 6-8

Materials Needed: Handstand Rubric

Description of Idea

My assessment is a rubric that I already have made up in detail. It has 5 different components of a handstand that you can assess. Of the five components there are four different levels that the teacher can give the student. Each level describes what the student needs to be able to do. Each level has a point amount. At the end you add up the total points for the score.

Handstand Rubric

Variations:

Can do this as a peer assessment if you wish.
