![]() Name of Activity: Cars Personal Space
Purpose of Activity: The purpose of the assessment is to check the student's understanding of personal space. Suggested Grade Level: K-2 Materials Needed: Assessment Sheet Description of Idea This assessment was inspired by one of my lessons. I was teaching the students general and presonal space one rainy day in the classroom and to do so I had them all pretend they were cars. We drove around in general space and then we had to park our cars on the cue in our personal space. If we could open our car doors (put our arm straight out to the side) we had found good personal space! The directions ask the student to color in the personal space around the race cars in the general space below. There are various sized and placed race cars placed on the page with plenty of space for the students to clearly color and identify the personal space of the car. |
