Name of Activity: Hand Washing Song

Purpose of Activity: To show how important hand washing is for the prevention of spreading germs and how this frequent practice reduces preventable infectious diseases.

Suggested Grade Level: PreK

Materials Needed: Computer with song

Description of Idea

Explain that the song is an easy way to show the importance of washing your hands.

Go to

www.henrythehand.com

to download the song.

Play the song for the class. Have every student stand up and begin to wash their hands while they listen to the song. Make sure that they are using proper hand washing technique. This makes learning how to wash your hands fun and easy.
