Name of Activity:

Personality Collage

Purpose of Activity:

To have students define some of their personality traits

Suggested Grade Level:

9-12

Materials Needed:

old magazines, poster board, scissors, glue sticks, overhead projector

Description of Idea

Students will trace their profile on their poster board by projecting their shadow onto the poster board. OR students may lie on the ground on a very large piece of paper and trace around themselves with a pencil.

Students then cut out pictures and words that describe their personality from old magazines. These personality traits will include those that are both inherited and acquired.

Students complete the activity by gluing their traits in a collage fashion over the shape of their poster board and sharing their collage with the class.
