Name of Activity: Kindergarten Progress: End of The Year Checklist

Purpose of Activity: To communicate with parents and others about the progress students made during the year.

Suggested Grade Level: PreK-1

Materials Needed: Sheet below.

Description of Idea

This is great to give parents at the end of the school year so that they can see different activities/ skills their child has completed and things they can help to work on before 1st grade at home. You can add and subtract any skills that best fit your program. Copy and paste into a word document so you can hand it out.

While I was in Kindergarten I learned many different things in Physical Education Class. This is a list of many of the activities we did.

:) = performed activities correctly

:- = something I will work on over the summer and next year

____ Skipping

____ Hopping

____ Galloping

____ Forward roll

____ Walk on the balance beam from one side to the other without help

____ Create my own balance with at least one hand and one foot on the ground

____ Ride a scooter the proper way

____ Toss and catch a ball to myself

____ Throw a Frisbee to a target

____ Hit a wiffle ball off a tee

____ Dribble a soccer ball using one foot and then the other

____ Using finger pads to dribble a basketball and dribbling waist-high

____ Tossing and catching a wiffle ball with a scoop to myself
