![]() Name of Activity: Management Stop and Go
Purpose of Activity: For the students to learn proper ways to start and to stop an activity or a lesson. Prerequisites: Rules that the students should have learned already is that they should know what personal and general space is. To go out into the gym and spread out. Suggested Grade Level: PRE-K Description of Idea Students will learn the go command and the freeze command for the management of the class. The students on the go command will go out into personal space and freeze. On the go command from the teacher the students will walk around playing the name game, introducing themselves to the rest of the class. The teacher will call out freeze and the students should stop. The teacher will ask the students who they met and then call out go and the students will meet the rest of the class. On the freeze command the teacher will then explain what they will do next in the lesson. Adaptations for Students with Disabilities: The teacher could have the students go with a partner and go around the class introducting themselves with other partners in the class. |
