![]() Name of Activity: Circle Up
Purpose of Activity: The purpose of the "Circle Up" concept is to organize students quickly and efficiently at the end of class. This procedure eliminates the running to be the first in line, and the pushing and shoving that can go along with this. Prerequisites: No prerequisites. Suggested Grade Level: K-1 Materials Needed: None Description of Idea At the end of class, after equipment has been returned, students go to the circle in the middle of the gym. They will begin walking clockwise, following the person in front of them. I then call a student to lead the class to the stopping place at the gym door. The person I call leads and everyone else follows staying in order. It is very smooth and hassle-free! |
