![]() Name of Activity: Locomotor Skills Assessment
Purpose of Activity: To find out if students know the difference between locomotor skills and non locomotor skills. Suggested Grade Level: K-2 Materials Needed: Locomotor Skills Assessment Description of Idea Directions: Circle the picture that is a locomotor skill. Hand this out at the end of class for kids to answer with paper and pencil or have the classroom teacher do in class and collect to see how kids did. I copied and pasted pictures of cartoon people running, walking, doing push ups, crab walking, sitting and swimming. You can read the directions to the students and they can circle only the pictures that are locomotor skills. This will let you know if students are still unsure of the difference of loco and non loco. You could do other pictures that suit you better. |
