Name of Activity: Hockey Passing

Purpose of Activity: Students will be able to determine how to improve their own hockey passing skills.

Suggested Grade Level: 6-8

Materials Needed: Hockey Self Assessment Sheet

Description of Idea

Students will work with a partner. One partner will use a video camera to record the other student who is passing to a target (I use a cut up noodle). After they have been recorded, transfer the file to a computer (or you, as the teacher could upload to SchoolTube.com or YouTube.com) for the student to review on their own.

The student will use the following assessment while they are watching the tape.
