Name of Activity: Winter Warm-Up

Suggested Grade Level: K-2

Materials Needed: Holiday Music

Description of Idea

As soon as students enter the gym, tell them they will be performing a Winter Warm-up by performing winter movements. Explain to the students that some of the movements will require them to use their imagination. The teacher will lead these movements.

Examples of movements:

- A Melting Snowman
- A Blizzard
- An Avalanche
- Driving a Snowmobile
- Pretending to have a snowball showdown with a friend.
- Ice Skating
- Skiing
- Snowboarding

Switch movements every 15-30 seconds.
