Below are some examples of the stick-handling skills that can be used: Stickhandle in your own space for 30 Seconds Stickhandle around the gym for 30 Seconds Stickhandle with 1 Hand for 30 Seconds Figure-8 Stickhandle for 30 Seconds Figure-8 Stickhandle for 30 Seconds Turn the Stick over and try Stickhandling for 30 Seconds Turn the Stick over and try Stickhandling for 30 Seconds After completing the stickhandling skill, the students should move to another card and perform the activity on that card. Students should continue to move from card to card performing the stickhandling skills until the activity is over. The teacher will either have to time the students to let them know when 30 seconds is up, or use the music (by stopping and re-starting it) to let students know when to stop and move to the next card.
Variations: - Velcro on the pucks and sticks. - Larger Pucks or Balls - Could make special cards with easier exercises.
