Purpose of Activity: The purpose of this assessment is to verify youngsters can identify the safest, quickest, and most successful position to enter long jump ropes. Suggested Grade Level: 3-5 Materials Needed: Entering Long Jump Rope Assessment, Entering Long Jump Rope Assessment Answers Description of Idea This is a quick paper and pencil assessment or exit slip students can complete at the end of a lesson where they were taught the proper entering and exiting angles for long rope skills with others turning the rope. The positions and angles are same position for entering front or back door or double dutch. Entering Long Jump Rope Assessment Entering Long Jump Rope Assessment Answers Teaching Suggestions: Teachers can read the information and questions for those who cannot read. Teachers can easily turn this assessment into a performance assessment by asking students to demonstrate the angles by placing a poly spot or cone at the locations to enter and exit. Teachers can ask students to use another jump rope as the arrow to indicate the angles to enter and exit the ropes. |
