Suggested Grade Level: 1st and Up Materials Needed: Cones for general space boundaries, foam balls for taggers Description of Idea Children are in scattered formation within the playing area. The identified chasers will each have a foam ball. On the signal they chase (i.e., using locomotor movements such as walking, sliding, skipping, etc.) the other students. When someone is tagged, they have to change the way they move throughout general space (i.e., from walking to sliding, sliding to hopping, etc.).
You can have the chasers change their locomotor movement or they could keep it the same throughout their times as chasers. Change the chasers frequently so everyone gets a chance.
