![]() Name of Activity: Scavenger Hunt
Purpose of Activity: To show students that the adults in their school life consider being fit important and are involved in a variety of activities outside of school. Suggested Grade Level: 6-8 Materials Needed: Scavenger Hunt Sheet (will need to make this up based on the information below). Description of Idea Students are given a Scavenger Hunt sheet that has a certain number of listed activities. My sheet had 14. On each activity is a blank line for the name of the staff member that the students must find. 1. ____________ rides 75 miles a week on a bike. Students are instructed to be courteous and respectful and to not interrupt teachers or classes. Students have a certain amount of time to complete the hunt. Assessment Ideas: Follow up activity with a questionnaire/discussion/reflection about what the students thought of the activities that the staff did, why they think the staff participate in the activities, what they can do to make time to keep active and fit outside of school. |
