Tragically, thousands of people have been displaced by hurricanes. This includes a number of PE teachers who not only lost their homes but their schools were damaged and some were destroyed. Many of our physical education colleagues need your help as so many of them have lost their activity areas and PE equipment! The purpose of this site is to connect those teachers who have been devastated by the hurricane with those who want to help. To do this we are encouraging those physical educators who were devastated by the storm to post their story on PE Central. In this posting their contact information will be posted so folks interested in assisting their rebuilding process can learn how they can help. Most teachers trying to recover and get their PE Programs back on track need PE equipment or curricular materials--not money. The connections made between donators and teachers who post their stories are between those two parties (see disclaimer below). Please do not send donations/equipment to PE Central!
