Description:

Literacy is an important focus in our school and our district. I am always looking for ways to incorporate literacy concepts or ideas into my PE lessons. I thought this bulletin board would encourage some students who like sports to check out some related books from our library. I also wanted children to know that they could enhance their sports skills by have a working knowledge of a sport by reading books about their favorite sports. I looked for some creative and eye-catching ways to display the books with related sports equipment. This has been a popular bulletin board with all of our Pre K-5th grade students. Other teachers could use whatever sports equipment and books they have available.
