Description:

Our students are greeted with an invitation to the new school year by the physical education version of the "Little Engine That Could." The steam coming from our engine gives several samples of physical education goals for the new school year. Following the bulletin board model, our third, fourth and fifth graders write their own physical education goals on an individual "steam puff." I hover each individual's goal over an individual train engine and display these for Back to School Night! This is a wonderful way for parents to see what their children's aspirations are at the beginning of a new school year.
