Title of Bulletin Board: Health Stars

Materials: Bulletin board paper for background, construction paper, cut out letter and stars, articles and pictures of famous people that have changed the way we live our lives in health

Description:

This board was created for my fourth and fifth grade students in health. Every month the students learn four new people that have changed our lives for the better. Examples are Dr. Charles Best, Dr. Frederick G. Banting, and Clara Barton. Pictures of the person along with an article is placed on the board. I read the articles to the students and have discussions about the discoveries. The purpose of the board is to encourage the students to learn more about people in the health field. Through this bulletin board, I am able to cover the important topics in health education.
