Title of Bulletin Board: Do Amazing Things

Materials: Precut red and white hearts from construction paper, crayons, pencils, and glue. Any colorful banner with a positive message can be used.

Description:

With February being heart month, my 4th grade PE students wrote paragraphs describing their daily physical activities that help them stay heart healthy. Along with a fitness plan, they wrote about eating proper foods. I assigned this activity as homework. I distributed a precut red heart and a white heart with lines. Students wrote and some illustrated their plans. This was a strategy to reinforce the necessary lifestyle they need to develop early in life. The ‘Do Amazing Things’ banner was from the National Dairy Council that I used to be the ‘attention getter’ for the display.
