Title of Bulletin Board: March Rolls in on the Half Pipe

Category: Sports

Suggested Grade Level: 3-8

Materials: Bulletin Board paper, borders, die cut letters, poster board, tissue paper, cotton balls, water bottles, silver pen or paint, black paint, construction paper

Description:

Taking a new spin on the familiar saying "March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb" I made my lion roll in on the half pipe and the lamb rolling out of the half pipe. The half pipe was made from poster board, as was the skateboards. The bottle of a water bottle was cut off and painted from the inside to resemble a wheel. The lion was made using construction paper and tissue paper for the mane. The lamb was also made from construction paper and cotton balls.

Digiboy, thanks for the Artskills tip. I did indeed find poster glitter glue I was looking for, and low and behold it was made by Art Skills!

When I went to their website, I found their poster resources for parents to be very useful. Have you also seen their resource page at:
http://artskills.com/parents_poster_design_basics.php (Sorry, I don't know if this link will be clickable on this comment box or not.)

Who would have guessed that PECentral would have helped me out so much with topics like this?!

Thanks again,
Cindy

Thanks for the bulletin board ideas! One tip that could help others...I found some great poster board accessories from a company called ArtSkills (http://www.artskills.com) in my local Michaels retail store. I picked up some useful markers, letter stencils and glitter glue that helped my own board decorating project.
