Description:

The bulletin board has a dance theme for elementary students. It includes pictures of students participating in the dance unit. It will also include Laban's Movement Framework that the students will learn throughout the dance unit. This includes The Body, Space, Relationships, Force, Time, and Flow. You can also include the movements that will fit under these categories. The bulletin board can also include whatever types of dances are being learned, or dance steps. On this PowerPoint the green stars have dance steps written on them including Grapevine, Suzy Q, Step Touch, Cha Cha Cha, Side Kick, etc. This bulletin board was built for a college curriculum course, but would be built in a school during a dance unit so that the rest of the school could see what was going on in the physical education classes, and remind students of what they are learning during their unit. A "Dancing with the Stars" theme can be implemented throughout the unit so that the students can be excited about the unit relating it to a very popular TV show that many of them may watch.
