Title of Bulletin Board: Snowy Day Fitness

Materials: Color Pictures of Snowy Day activities (search online or use your own), letter cut outs, construction paper, mitten cut outs, background paper, snowflake cut outs

Description:

This bulletin board was built to give the school community ideas for staying active on a snowy day.

The title was cut out with letter die-cuts, but could also be done by hand. "Snow" was added to each letter by gluing white paper to the back of each area that snow would come to rest if the letters were outside in the snow.

Snowflakes were cut out with different size die-cuts, but I think additional flair could be added if students were to make a variety of snow flakes. I also cut the mittens out with a large die-cut, but they would be pretty simple by hand.

I searched for photos of snowy day activities and attached them to the mittens with room to write the suggested activity. The various activities that I included are: "Go Snow Tubing," "Go Snow Shoeing," "Go Sledding," "Shovel the Snow," "Go Skiing," "Make a Snow Angel," "Play DDR," "Play Wii," "Go Snow Boarding," "Build a Snowman," "Have a SAFE Snowball Fight," and "Go Sledding."
