Title of Bulletin Board: Make No Bones About It, Exercise Makes You Strong

Category: About the Body

Suggested Grade Level: K-5

Materials: Skeleton, Black paper, Hand drawn words on oranges, white & yellow paper, skeleton bags, bone words using print shop, sharpie to draw lines, halloween border

Description:

Put this bulletin board up in October as a way to introduce the different bones of the body. The students really get a kick out of the skeleton as his eyes light up! My board is positioned where the students line up to leave the gym. We discuss the bones of the body while we wait for the teacher to pick them up.

Additional Information:

Skeleton and skeleton bags purchased at the Dollar Store. Used the Internet to find picture of a skeleton that was labeled with all the bones (so I got them right). I used Print Shop to complete all the bones.
