Title of Bulletin Board: Homecoming

Category: Special Events

Suggested Grade Level: 3-5

Materials: Construction paper, scrap material, print outs of definition of Homecoming, pom poms, pictures of clowns, crowns, soccerballs, Band, cheerleaders, volleyball players and Pom Pom Girls.

Description:

The elementary PE bulletin board is a great way to educate children on what Homecoming is and how it involves the community and the elementary school children along with the high school. This display has short paragraphs on topics such as the definition of Homecoming, Parades, Sports events, Dances, Pep Ralleys, Homecoming Court and what Homecoming does to bring the community together. Each day, the 2 weeks before Homecoming I take a few minutes to discuss each of the topics about Homecoming with my students.
